We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers. The job in brief: 

• Job Title - Senior Frontend Developer
• Working model - hybrid from Chiasso
• Team - you will join the Payments and Fintech Engineering team
• Level - Professional 
• Location - Chiasso, Switzerland 
• Contract - Permanent - full-time (36 h/week)

 

What your impact will be:

• Coding new features, fixing bugs and optimising code
• Working with the Team to break down User Stories into tasks that can be worked on
• Analysing performance metrics and logs using monitoring tools
• Updating technical documentation
• Collaborating with designers, testers, product owners and other developers
• Conducting and participating in code reviews
• Evolving and maintaining our websites
• Performance optimisations
• Technical reviews

Your expertise:

• Deep understanding of React.js, including its core principles, such as Hooks and state management.
• Proficiency in: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with: TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js and the NPM ecosystem, Testing frameworks, especially Jest.
• Git, git-flow and version control best practices.
• Communicative English

 

Desirable: 

• Knowledge of Ai coding assistants like Claude Code
• Practical knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of CSS-in-JS libraries or frameworks.
• Understanding of Next.js server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and API routes.
• Familiarity with testing tools like React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Browser, Server and CDN Caching Techniques.

Selection process steps*:
