Your Mission at Yotpo As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you are the architect of the first impression and a leader in technical execution. Your mission is to define and build highly responsive, intuitive web experiences that set the industry standard for usability and speed. You will leverage and guide the team in modern React architecture best practices, ensuring that every interaction feels instant, every pixel serves a purpose, and our customers enjoy a frictionless, performant product experience at massive scale. You aren't just implementing designs; you are engineering the high-performance engine that powers our customer experience, obsessed with delivering a high-quality, "snappy" UI at scale and mentoring others to do the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Modern Stack Architecture & Leadership: Architect, build, and lead the implementation of production-grade applications using Tanstack/Next.js and advanced React patterns to deliver optimized, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces. Act as a subject matter expert for the frontend stack.

• Performance Obsession & Ownership: Own the "Speed Index" across multiple applications. You will proactively define, measure, and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and fine-tune bundle sizes to ensure our apps perform flawlessly on any network, setting performance standards for the team.

• Component Craftsmanship & Design System Leadership: Design and build composable, accessible, and themeable UI libraries using Radix UI, shadcn/ui, and Tailwind CSS. You will be a key contributor and owner of our internal design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the organization.

• State & Data Mastery: Design and implement robust strategies for managing complex server and client state seamlessly, ensuring data is fresh, cached efficiently, synchronized perfectly, and the data flow is highly performant.

• Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Must Haves:

• 6+ years of experience building and scaling high-traffic, production web applications.

• Tanstack/Next.js Architecture: Deep, demonstrable expertise with the SSR ecosystem and modern application frameworks, including architectural decision-making.

• React Expertise: Advanced, expert-level understanding of React hooks, context, reconciliation, and performance optimization techniques (useMemo, useCallback, virtualisation).

• Modern Tooling Proficiency: Expert-level, hands-on experience with TypeScript, advanced Tailwind CSS patterns, and all core TanStack libraries (Query/Table).

• Component & Design System Leadership: Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining headless, accessible component systems and contributing significantly to an internal Design System (e.g., using shadcn/ui or Radix).

Modern Workflow & Mentorship: Proven experience leveraging coding assistants to accelerate development and solve complex problems, along with a track record of mentoring team members and driving technical excellence.
