The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the analysis and assessment of the Annual Plan to determine the risks and opportunities of the assumptions in relation to overall corporate objectives. The position will provide support to assigned business units as needed and ensure the plan is completed in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. Additionally, s/he will perform ad hoc analysis across divisions/regions as requested by all levels of management and present recommendations based on output of analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide meaningful insights to Senior Management regarding the competitive landscape and macro leading indicators.
This position is also responsible for analyzing current operating performance of their assigned business units and making recommendations relating to growth and/or cost control opportunities. The individual in this role will develop and maintain relationships with assigned business unit leaders. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package, investor relations, and finance committee presentations for the Board of Directors. In addition, the position is responsible for preparing and presenting the channel and business unit profitability analysis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance or Accounting
• 4-6 years of finance related experience, preferably in the Accounting or Financial Planning disciplines
• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make presentations to senior leadership and partner with senior leaders
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexibility to work in either Parsippany, NJ or New York City office, located at 200 5th Avenue
Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently holds or is in pursuit of an MBA
• Experience with Hyperion Planning a plus
