Job Description
Reports to: Consolidations Manager
Location: Remote, Canada
About the Role
ESO Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Consolidations team. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of FP&A and financial systems, with a specific focus on Workday Adaptive Planning. You will be a core contributor to the redesign and optimization of ESO's Adaptive Planning instance, working closely with our Consolidations Manager and FP&A leadership to build a best-in-class planning environment that supports a $200M ARR, PE-backed company on a strong growth-trajectory.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Adaptive Planning expert who combines deep technical platform knowledge with strong FP&A fundamentals. You are as comfortable building a model as you are troubleshooting a broken integration, and you bring the intellectual curiosity and problem-solving mindset to navigate complexity with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Adaptive Planning Platform Ownership
• Lead the implementation and rewrite of ESO's Adaptive Planning instance, partnering with external consultants (including PlanSimpli) and Adaptive's Pit Crew support team.
• Design, build, and maintain planning models, sheets, and integrations within Adaptive Planning.
• Deploy and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that give business leaders clear, timely financial insights.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Adaptive Planning, providing guidance and training to Finance team members.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution with urgency.
Budgeting and Forecasting
• Support the annual operating plan (AOP) process, including the build-out of models for revenue, headcount, and operating expense.
• Maintain and enhance rolling forecasts, with a focus on accuracy, speed and actionability.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners and FP&A leadership to ensure planning models reflect current business assumptions.
• Prepare variance analysis and bridge explanations to support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Contribute to ESO's 24-month financial planning horizon to support debt refinancing and Vista reporting requirements.
Consolidations Support
• Assist the Consolidations Manager with financial consolidation processes across ESO's multi-entity structure, including international operations in Costa Rica, Denmark, Czech Republic, and Australia.
• Support intercompany eliminations and ensure Adaptive PLanning reflects consolidated financials accurately.
• Help maintain data integrity between NetSuite (ERP) and Adaptive Planning.
What You Bring
Required:
• 4+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model building, sheet design, integrations, and administration.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a complex business environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of finding solutions to ambiguous, technically complex challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working across multiple data systems
• Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred
• Experience supporting or leading an Adaptive Planning implementation or rewrite
• Exposure to SaaS or subscription-based business models and related metrics (ARR, churn, NRR)
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Experience at a PE-backed company or Vista Equity Partners portfolio standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
