Senior Financial Accountant (CPT)

As our Senior Financial Accountant you will: :
• Assist with closing month end, processing journal entries and reviewing of accounts
• Work closely with the Treasury team to align operational and finance needs
• Reconciliation of bank accounts/aggregator statements
• Management of expense allocations per Business Unit
• Ensuring new processes are implemented and adhered to
• Assist with payment run approvals
• Management/Reconciliation of company loans and capturing of inter-company transactions
• Assist with audit requirements
• Assist with preparation tax returns, including underlying supporting schedules (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, STATS SA, SARB)
• Ad-hoc finance-related tasks and projects

Qualifications & Experience::
• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (BCom Accounting or BCom Financial Accounting).
• Xero experience.

In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will::
• Demonstrate a good understanding of our business operations
• Be responsible for assisting in the accuracy of month-end preparation
• Be responsible for the first level opex review and identify any anomalies and take initiative to correct
• Assist to ensure that all tax submissions (monthly/quarterly/bi-annual and annual) are done on time and assist the broader team in ad hoc requirements as they arise
