Senior Finance Manager

Company Overview:
Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital allocators, acts as an advisor to multiple liquid crypto funds specializing in onchain DeFi yield strategies, as well as venture activity focused on crypto/blockchain technologies. This is a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies.

Job Summary:
In collaboration with our Finance Team, the selected candidate will take charge of reporting, audit, accounting, tax, and financial oversight in different entities across our group of companies. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to work independently, and a readiness to own the process to achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate should be familiar with implementing novel AI tools and automation specifically for crypto assets.

Dialectic is the investment advisor for several offshore funds that serve investors globally. Therefore, expertise in offshore fund accounting and reporting, along with related disciplines, will be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including accounting, financial reporting, tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Swiss law.

• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and internal management.

• Assist in our capital raising activities.

• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.

• Communicate directly with relevant external parties such as the tax authority and auditors.

• Continuously evaluate the financial reporting process in order to improve effectiveness and efficiencies, identifying and implementing harmonization and standardization with internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• 6 to 8+ years of experience in a similar finance role.

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and Swiss law, CPA/ACCA is a plus.

• Experience in fund accounting, including shadow accounting and working with an independent fund administrator.

• Decent knowledge of crypto/blockchain technologies

• MS Excel/Google Sheets super-user with a technical track record of clear and reproducible documentation in all areas.

• A powerful interest in integrating vanguard tools into their work, such as AI co-pilots for financial models and financial control.

• Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for achieving the desired results while also contributing to the success of projects shared by the wider team.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of Cayman and BVI fund/corporate structures.

• Strong understanding and experience with typical hedge fund terms and documents, including offering memorandums, portfolio supplements, and subscription agreements.

• Strong network to be able to support capital raise activities.
