Senior Finance Controller

We are looking for a Senior Finance Controller to join our team as the first dedicated finance hire. In this role, you will build the financial foundation of our company, driving forecasting, reporting, and compliance while supporting our growth and investor relations. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment where adaptability and process-building are essential.

What you’ll do

• Develop and own financial forecasting for revenue, expenses, and cash flow from the ground up.

• Create and maintain financial models to support fundraising, strategic decisions, and scaling.

• Implement scalable financial processes and tools (e.g., ERP systems, expense management) tailored to our needs.

• Establish and oversee financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

• Manage tax filings, statutory reporting, together with our external accounting firm.

• Define and enforce financial policies for expense approvals, revenue recognition, and fraud prevention.

• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, and invoicing processes.

• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and working capital to safeguard financial stability.

• Prepare investor materials, including pitch decks, KPI tracking, and performance reports.

• Support financial due diligence and valuation analysis for fundraising and partnerships.

What we’re looking for

• Proven ability to build financial processes and systems from scratch, especially in a startup environment.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, expense management tools, and financial software.

• Fluent in English and German (C1 level).

• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder and investor management.
