Job Description
The Senior Finance Business Partner is the primary commercial partner to senior leaders across EMEA and North America.
This is a new role focusing on providing financial insight, supporting decision-making, and driving performance through strong relationships, sharp commercial judgement, and disciplined planning.
You will be the face of FP&A to the business, owning the performance narrative, risks and opportunities, and ensuring leaders are equipped with clear, timely insight to run their areas effectively.
The role partners closely with Sales leadership, Vertical GMs, Cost Centre managers, FP&A Analyst and Head of FP&A to deliver a consistent, forward-looking financial planning capability for the group.
Main Job Duties
Business Partnering & Performance Management
Act as the lead finance partner to business stakeholders, providing commercial insight, challenge, and decision support
Design and develop monthly performance review packs to lead discussions with stakeholders
Support with review of the monthly draft results for accuracy and completeness, and provide additional insight (prepared by the Reporting team).
Support the business in understanding the drivers behind performance and actions to improve performance
Own the business narrative for monthly results, budgets, forecasts, and outlooks, ensuring financial plans reflect commercial reality
Build trusted, influential relationships with your stakeholders, becoming the primary financial contact for your business units.
Forecasting & Budgeting Support
Lead budget and forecast inputs and submissions for your business units.
Challenge assumptions, validate submissions, and ensure they align with the group's financial objectives.
Work with the FP&A Analyst and Head of FP&A to consolidate forecasts and ensure an accurate reflection of business drivers.
Identify risks and opportunities early and communicate them clearly.
Strategic & Commercial Support
Support strategic initiatives, investment cases, and cost optimisation opportunities.
Contribute to the long-range planning cycle led by the Head of FP&A.
Act as the primary finance point of contact for commercial decision-making. Includes ad hoc analysis as required by stakeholders.
Key Deliverables
Monthly performance review deck for business / divisional leaders
Monthly variance commentary for the Monthly Management Report and Quarterly Board reporting
Budget, quarterly forecast and outlook submissions, including risks and opportunities
Business performance insights for senior leaders
Clear, proactive communication of issues and trends
Desired Skills & Experience
Technical / FP&A Competencies
Qualified Accountant - CA or equivalent with 8-10 years PQE
Senior commercial FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience
Strong financial modelling literacy with the ability to challenge and interpret models
Proven ability to interpret financial results and synthesise data into information for senior leaders
Proven experience working directly with senior leaders
Confident communicator who can influence without authority
Business Partnering Skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building
Ability to translate financial results into non-financial language
Comfortable operating with senior leaders and across time zones
Strong commercial acumen and decision-support mindset
