Summary
The Senior Facilities Associate provides technical services in support of, but not limited to, interior and exterior mechanical systems and laboratory spaces, ensuring that all building systems within the company are properly maintained, functioning correctly, and ready for use to support daily activities.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain and support the continuous operation of all building and laboratory systems, including specialized systems, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.
• Develop, update, and manage technical schematics, system documentation, and engineering drawings for all facility-related systems.
• Provide training to Facilities personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical building systems
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot emergency power systems, including generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, and associated electrical distribution infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems—including AHUs, RTUs, split systems, boilers, and chillers—while responding promptly to alarms, comfort deviations, and critical system alerts.
• Maintain and support reverse osmosis/de‑ionized (RODI) water systems, compressed gas distribution, and compressed air systems used throughout laboratory and operational spaces.
• Monitor, interpret, and optimize performance data from the Building Management System (BMS), environmental monitoring platforms, and other digital control systems to identify trends and implement system improvements.
• Manage Facilities ticket queues, maintain accurate master equipment records, and collaborate cross functionally with Equipment, Quality, Laboratory, and IT teams to support projects and operational needs.‑functionally with Equipment, Quality, Laboratory, and IT teams to support projects and operational needs.
• Conduct routine inspections of laboratory and building spaces to verify proper equipment functionality, identify deficiencies, and ensure overall workspace readiness and compliance.
• Communicate system outages, corrective actions, and maintenance activities to relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of system status and operational impact.
• Safely move, install, and set up laboratory instruments, refrigeration units, and other building-support equipment in accordance with operational and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic logs for fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, refrigeration systems, UPS units, locker assignments, and generator equipment in accordance with regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Education, Experience, and Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience in building engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience in facilities, HVAC, electrical or plumbing required.
