About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a dual focus on ETL/ELT pipeline development and Power BI reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable data integrations in Microsoft Azure, as well as hands‑on skills in designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI datasets and reports. They should be comfortable working independently, translating business needs into data models, and delivering end‑to‑end solutions from ingestion to visualization.

What you will be working on

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Azure using tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF). 
• Build and optimize data models and transformations in Fabric and Graph environments for efficient data processing and analytics. 
• Develop data integration solutions for ingesting, transforming, and processing structured and unstructured data from various sources. 
• Work independently on projects, from gathering requirements to deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. 
• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI datasets, data models, and reports, ensuring clear, impactful visualization of business insights
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines, identifying performance issues and ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Apply and enforce best practices in data architecture, security, documentation, and governance within the Azure ecosystem and Power BI.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into reliable, scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Use Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD automation, release management, and workflow orchestration.
• Maintain clear documentation for data processes, reporting logic, refresh schedules, and end‑user guidance.

Requirements:
Must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 5+ years of experience in ETL development, data integration, and data pipeline management. 
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Fabric. 
• Strong understanding of data pipeline principles, including batch and real-time processing. 
• Experience with Graph databases and their application within enterprise solutions. 
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and take ownership of end-to-end ETL processes. 
• Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and automation. 
• Experience working with REST APIs for data extraction and integration. 
• Experience designing and optimizing Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports is considered a strong asset
• Having a Microsoft Azure data-focused certification (such as DP‑700 or DP‑600) is strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken). 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) 

• Working knowledge of APIs and how they interact with data pipelines. 
• Experience with data cleansing techniques to ensure high-quality and accurate datasets.
• Having a Microsoft Azure data-focused certification (such as DP‑700 or DP‑600) is strongly preferred.
