Position: Senior Estimator (Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Electrical Infrastructure)
Salary: AU$2,800 AUD/month (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: 8:00AM–5:00PM AU Time
OVERVIEW:
The client is seeking a senior-level Estimator with a Quantity Surveying background to take full ownership of the end-to-end estimating and pricing process across civil and electrical infrastructure projects.
This role will work closely with the construction team to produce accurate, timely, and commercially sound estimates from tender stage through to project commencement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete bill of quantities (BOQ) take-offs from client-provided drawings and documentation
• Manage the full end-to-end estimating and pricing process across projects
• Prepare, review, and refine detailed cost estimates for civil and electrical infrastructure works
• Ensure all estimates are accurate, consistent, and commercially viable
• Work within Excel-based estimating workflows (flexible depending on experience and systems used)
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify scope, assumptions, and pricing inputs
• Collaborate with the construction team to align estimates with delivery expectations and project strategy
• Support tender submissions with complete and well-structured pricing documentation
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of proven experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in:
• Electrical infrastructure projects
• Civil construction projects
• Experience working on Australian projects (highly preferred)
• Ability to independently manage full-cycle estimating processes from start to finish
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of commercial awareness
• Ability to balance technical accuracy with cost competitiveness
• Must be capable of operating autonomously with minimal supervision
• Able to support and collaborate effectively with the broader construction and delivery team
• Strong ownership of outcomes and accountability for estimate quality
