About the the Product & Role:

Katalon TrueTest is an AI-powered test automation solution that automatically discovers, generates, and maintains user-journey test cases, helping teams improve testing efficiency and quality.

As Senior Manager/Director, Engineering, you will lead the engineering team building and scaling TrueTest. You will own end-to-end delivery, resource planning, and technical execution, while providing leadership across architecture, performance, security, and Agile practices. Your focus is on ensuring high-quality delivery and driving continuous improvement aligned with the product roadmap.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and implementation of Katalon's quality management platform
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive platform reliability, scalability, and innovation
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase team productivity and efficiency
• Recruit, retain, and manage a high-performing engineering team
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Product, Sales & Marketing,...)
• Ensure the optimization of software development processes and methodologies
• Coordinate and leading the effort of multiple cross functional teams to resolve Production incident and customer escalation


Requirements:
Must-have:

• AI-Native Mindset: Strong curiosity and proactive approach to applying AI in engineering. Engage with emerging skills like prompt engineering, LLM integration, agent-based design patterns, and automation frameworks. We're building a culture where engineers actively contribute to how AI shapes our products, workflows, and platform.
• Well-proven experience in leading multi-regional / distributed Agile development project teams for product companies or similar roles;
• Possesses solid knowledge and skill in software delivery, development process, and engineering management;
• Perform exemplary work in managing projects, practice/service, and mentor others in software engineering;
• Solid knowledge & practices with Agile methodologies;
• Solid knowledge & practices with DevOps culture;
• Expertise in using Jira and Confluence to manage project status and requirement scope as well as project information sharing;
• Knowledge and skillset to define team roadmap product backlog (Themes/Epic) for Engineering teams based on OKR/QPR set by Product;
• Strong ability to manage human resources;
• Good human relations skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams;
• Technical background is advantageous to enable understanding of technical decisions and drive communication with the Product team;
• Excellent English communication – in both writing and speaking;
• Strong leadership, presentation, problem-solving skill;
• Being organizational, analytical, and hustle.

Nice-to-have:

• Certificates of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or any Agile/Scrum certificates; PMP certificate is preferred;
• Experience running projects applying continuous integration and continuous delivery is a plus.
