Senior Engineering Leader - Product & Platform Engineering

This is a senior engineering leadership role focused on driving execution excellence, technical quality, and predictable delivery across complex product engineering initiatives. The role works closely with global and local stakeholders spanning business, engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. You will combine hands-on expertise in Java enterprise technologies with strong people leadership to build, guide, and sustain high-performing engineering teams. The position requires ownership across the full product lifecycle, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in agile environments.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and sustain high-performing product engineering and quality engineering teams
• Collaborate with cross-location and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality products using Agile Scrum methodologies
• Guide product discovery, backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and delivery to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Own delivery outcomes for assigned products or major subsystems, ensuring predictable quality and performance
• Drive ramp-up and maturity of quality engineering practices across teams
• Monitor project progress, delivery quality, risks, and dependencies, and take timely corrective actions when needed
• Lead teams in building, testing, and deploying robust solutions across pre-production and production environments
• Ensure proactive operational readiness to maintain service stability and uptime
• Analyze project risks, costs, benefits, and technical trade-offs, and provide actionable recommendations to business and technology leadership
• Foster strong collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across teams and stakeholders

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Up to 20 years of overall experience building large-scale systems and delivering complex programs across geographically distributed teams
• At least 5 years of experience in full-lifecycle product engineering, preferably within domains such as banking, payments, transaction processing, or healthcare
• Strong background in IT software development, digital solutions, and digital transformation initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Java enterprise technologies, including both UI and middleware frameworks
• Proven ability to own architecture, design, and development of large products or critical subsystems
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and custom solution delivery
• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery risks, drive quality outcomes, and meet business commitments
• Experience mentoring, motivating, and developing engineering teams
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to align technical decisions with business goals
