Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to take ownership of all company-wide email communications. This role focuses on planning, executing, and optimizing email campaigns while ensuring consistent QA testing across automated, transactional, marketing and operational emails.
You will manage the entire user email journey from ticket purchases and confirmations to follow-ups and side-event invitations while collaborating with IT, marketing, sales, and events teams to ensure every email is accurate, functional, and aligned with brand and compliance standards.
This position also involves overseeing the migration of all communications to HubSpot and identifying alternative solutions if needed to maintain centralized visibility and control.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy and Planning
Plan, build, test, and send all company emails including marketing campaigns, newsletters, and automated workflows
Create and manage segmented email lists based on audience behavior, demographics, and purchase history
Develop and maintain an email calendar aligned with business goals and event timelines
Define and monitor campaign goals such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement
Copywriting, Design, and Personalization
Write compelling, concise, and action-oriented email copy that engages recipients and includes clear CTAs
Collaborate with design teams to ensure visually appealing templates that are responsive and optimized for mobile devices
Use dynamic content and personalization techniques to increase engagement
Behavioral Triggers and Automation
Set up automated workflows including welcome sequences, re-engagement campaigns, and follow-ups
Map and test all automated touchpoints to optimize triggers and ensure a smooth user experience
QA Testing and Collaboration
Regularly test all automated and manual emails for formatting issues, broken links, and logic errors
Maintain a structured QA log and testing checklist to track issues and fixes
Coordinate with IT to test and monitor automated ticketing emails
Work with the marketing team to plan, execute, and QA promotional and event-based campaigns
Ensure all templates follow brand, design, and compliance standards
HubSpot Management
Oversee migration of all email communications to HubSpot
Manage segmentation, workflows, and automation setup
Research and propose alternative systems or processes for centralization if required
Compliance and Deliverability
Ensure all emails comply with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and data protection laws
Maintain email list hygiene and monitor deliverability metrics
Analytics and Reporting
Track and report on open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement
Provide actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance
Cross-Channel Integration
Integrate email campaigns with other marketing channels such as social media, paid ads, and content marketing to provide a cohesive customer experience
Requirements
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in email marketing and QA testing
Native English speaker or minimum C2 level proficiency
Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM and automation tools
Strong understanding of email automation, segmentation, and workflows
Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS for email templating and troubleshooting rendering issues across clients
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot design, copy, or logic inconsistencies
Experience collaborating with IT and marketing teams on automated workflows
Knowledge of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and deliverability best practices
