Senior Electrical Estimator (Residential)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator with a strong background in residential construction to lead the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This role is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, performing detailed takeoffs, coordinating with project managers and vendors, and supporting the bidding process for single-family, multi-family, and residential development projects.

Responsibilities::
•
Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for residential projects including single-family homes, multi-family developments, townhomes, and apartment complexes.

Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work and required materials, labor, and equipment.

•
Perform quantity takeoffs for electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, wiring, panels, and low-voltage systems.

•
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.

•
Develop comprehensive bid proposals and cost breakdowns for project submissions.

•
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to clarify scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

•
Maintain and update cost databases, labor units, and historical project data to improve estimating accuracy.

•
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as needed.

•
Review project changes and provide pricing for change orders when required.

•
Mentor junior estimators and assist in improving estimating processes and procedures.
