Senior Electrical Engineer - Modular Data Centers (Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design the electrical architecture of modular data center power systems supporting high-availability computing environments.

This role focuses on the design and integration of critical electrical infrastructure including UPS systems, switchgear, power distribution units, generators, and battery systems. The engineer will develop electrical schematics, power architectures, and production documentation for modular platforms used in mission-critical infrastructure.

The position works closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams to deliver production-ready modular systems.

Requirements:
• Design electrical systems for modular data centers, including UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution units
• Develop single line diagrams, electrical schematics, cable schedules, and electrical documentation
• Design redundant power architectures such as N+1 and 2N systems for high-availability environments
• Integrate UPS systems, generators, battery systems, and electrical distribution infrastructure
• Develop monitoring and control systems for critical power infrastructure
• Coordinate electrical design with mechanical cooling systems and equipment layouts
• Support commissioning activities and factory testing of modular data center systems
• Produce electrical documentation supporting manufacturing, installation, and field deployment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design for critical power systems or data centers
• Experience with UPS systems, switchgear, and electrical power distribution infrastructure
• Experience developing single line diagrams, electrical schematics, and production documentation
• Strong understanding of redundant power architectures and critical power systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing modular data centers or prefabricated power systems
• Familiarity with Tier data center reliability architectures
• Experience integrating generator backup systems and battery infrastructure
• Experience supporting system commissioning and testing
