AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Bristol.
The role involves leading electrical design and delivery across infrastructure, energy, and building services projects, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
We take on projects across the full range of sectors at AECOM, but more specifically in Bristol our teams work on defence, education and commercial projects.
In particular, we are experiencing an increase in defence work across the region so the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) is a must.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Project management and leadership skills
• Communication and stakeholder engagement
• The ability to work independently and within teams
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
Minimum requirements:
• Demonstrable experience in electrical design (MV/LV or building services)
• Knowledge of UK standards (BS, JSP, CDM regulations)
• Strong understanding of power systems and electrical principles
• Experience producing technical documentation and calculations
Due to the nature of the work undertaken successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance
 
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer status (or working toward it) is preferred but not essential
