Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager

A growing electrical contractor is hiring a Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial builds throughout East Syracuse, New York. This role is based in East Syracuse and supports projects across the surrounding region, requiring strong leadership from preconstruction planning through final closeout. The selected professional will oversee budgeting, scheduling, field supervision, and client communication while ensuring projects in East Syracuse are delivered safely and efficiently.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned electrical construction professional who can balance estimating responsibilities with active project oversight. You will guide multiple jobs simultaneously in East Syracuse, maintain financial performance, and serve as the primary liaison between ownership, field teams, and general contractors.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct full lifecycle management of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
• Develop competitive cost analyses, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and assemble comprehensive bid packages
• Create and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables
• Supervise foremen, electricians, and subcontract partners to ensure field productivity
• Review and manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change documentation
• Oversee procurement of materials and coordinate vendor timelines
• Monitor job cost reports, forecasting labor and material expenses to protect margins
• Maintain strict adherence to NEC requirements and established safety protocols
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders
• Identify process improvements to streamline project execution and reporting

Requirements:
• Extensive experience managing commercial or industrial electrical construction projects
• Demonstrated success with electrical estimating and budget control
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, compliance standards, and jobsite safety practices
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines across multiple active projects
• Effective communicator with strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency in project management systems and Microsoft Office applications
