We are seeking a highly experienced Senior EDB & Redis Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise-grade database environments with a strong focus on High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR). In this full-time Mumbai-based role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining resilient EDB Postgres and Redis infrastructures that ensure maximum uptime, data integrity, and performance. You will work closely with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support mission-critical systems, design failover strategies, strengthen backup and recovery frameworks, and ensure seamless database operations in production environments. This role demands deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems aligned with business continuity objectives.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for EDB Postgres environments.
• Configure and maintain replication setups including streaming replication, logical replication, clustering, and automated failover.
• Architect and manage Redis deployments, including clustering, replication, persistence mechanisms, and failover configurations.
• Develop and execute backup and restore strategies aligned with defined RPO and RTO objectives.
• Conduct periodic DR drills and validate recovery readiness.
• Monitor database health and performance; perform query optimization and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with detailed root cause analysis.
• Implement database security best practices including role-based access control and encryption.
• Automate administrative tasks and enhance monitoring for proactive incident management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployments and infrastructure upgrades.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in EDB Postgres administration in production environments.
• Strong expertise in designing and managing HA/DR architectures.
• Proven experience with replication, failover clustering, and database resilience strategies.
• Solid experience managing Redis clusters and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience working in Linux environments with scripting and automation exposure.
