As a Senior Doctor Recruiter, you’ll Set Your Own Bar by identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional veterinarians who align with Modern Animal’s medical standards and long-term vision. You will play a direct role in strengthening our doctor community and ensuring we continue to build teams capable of delivering outstanding medical quality and member experience.

What you’ll be working on:

Doctor Recruiting & Candidate Experience

• Lead full-cycle recruiting from initial outreach through offer close

• Run structured interview processes and drive strong hiring decisions

• Deliver against hiring goals and timelines

• Own candidate experience from first interaction through onboarding

Pipeline Generation & Talent Sourcing

• Personally source and engage passive veterinary candidates using creative and persistent outreach

• Craft thoughtful, personalized outreach that communicates Modern Animal’s value proposition

• Build and maintain talent pipelines aligned to current and future hiring needs

• Map veterinary markets and develop deep understanding of local talent pools

• Increase pipeline health through sourcing, networking, referrals, and events

Market Partnership & Relationship Building

• Partner closely with Regional Medical Directors and Operations leaders

• Build relationships with doctors, clinic leaders, and regional partners

• Attend conferences, CE events, and industry gatherings

• Help ensure every hire strengthens Modern Animal’s doctor community and culture

Talent Strategy, Employer Brand & Market Insights

• Track and manage funnel health and conversion across hiring stages

• Share market insights and competitive intelligence with leadership

• Continuously refine outreach messaging and recruiting materials

• Represent Modern Animal within the veterinary community

• Partner with Talent, Marketing, and Medical leadership to strengthen employer brand

Why you’d be a great fit:

• Proven success sourcing and hiring passive candidates

Role Requirements:

This is a hybrid role based out of Los Angeles or in a priority Modern Animal market. The job of Senior Doctor Recruiter (DVM) at Modern Animal will require regular travel (15%-25%), including clinic visits, industry events and conferences. A requirement of this role is the ability to build relationships in-person within the veterinary community.

The pay range for this position is $93,000-$119,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
