Your responsibilities and tasks
The Senior Director of Procurement & Supply Chain for the Iberia Cluster leads the end‑to‑end Procurement and Supply Chain organization for the country/cluster, ensuring full deployment of divisional and corporate strategies across procurement, logistics, inventory management, customer care, international trade, facilities, and ERP governance.
This role ensures an aligned, GEA‑wide approach to customers, drives market penetration locally, and maximizes synergies across functions and business units.
Strategic Leadership & Alignment
Lead and manage the full scope of procurement and supply chain activities within the Iberia Cluster.
Ensure alignment between divisional strategies, corporate procurement frameworks, and local operational execution.
Drive implementation of category strategies (direct & indirect), logistics concepts, and supply chain transformation initiatives.
Balance functional/category-led requirements with local business priorities.
Partner with other BU Heads of Procurement & Supply Chain to allocate resources, drive specialization, and implement strategic projects.
Operational Excellence & Value Creation
Ensure high standards across procurement & logistics performance, focusing on cost, working capital, inventory, delivery time, and quality.
Identify and eliminate non‑value‑adding activities across the end‑to‑end supply chain.
Secure availability of materials and resources, meeting targets for cost efficiency, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, tools, methods, and organizational setup.
Ensure QHSE compliance across all supply chain operations.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Act as the primary interface for Divisional and Corporate Procurement & Supply Chain on all procurement-related topics.
Manage effective collaboration with global and local stakeholders, including Project Procurement Managers, Project Buyers, Category Management, Engineering, and Project Management.
Partner with cross-functional areas (Finance, HR, QHSE, Marketing, Sales & Service) to drive cooperation, overhead reduction, and organizational effectiveness.
Cost Optimization & Digital Transformation
Lead cost reduction initiatives (COGS, indirect costs, overhead) and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
Promote automation, digitalization, and ERP (SAP) optimization to increase efficiency and transparency.
Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, processes, and statutory requirements.
Report KPIs regularly and ensure accountability for targets.
Supplier Management & Contracting
Manage and coordinate key supplier relationships, securing availability, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Lead negotiations for strategic contracts, pricing, discounts, and payment terms in alignment with company standards.
Define cost‑saving targets and track execution of savings initiatives.
Ensure robust supplier quality assessment and escalation management.
Facilities & Cluster Support
Oversee facility management for all cluster sites, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant operations.
Serve as senior liaison for Procurement & Supply Chain at country/cluster level with Corporate and BU teams.
Your profile and qualifications
Education & Professional Background
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of senior-level experience in Procurement and Supply Chain.
Strong background in international contract management (minimum 5 years).
Experience in multi-site, matrix, and centralized organizational environments.
Proven track record in managing corporate procurement programs and Supply Chain networks.
Technical Expertise
Deep knowledge of material management, supply/demand planning, warehousing, and logistics.
Expertise in global supplier negotiations.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), Ariba / S2P platforms, and business intelligence reporting.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
