Your mission:
Rivada Space Networks is engineering a groundbreaking space, ground, user, and launch segment ecosystem to bring our global LEO constellation to life. As Senior Director, Network Technology, you will lead the end‑to‑end network engineering function that underpins this ambitious system. You will oversee the architecture, design, and delivery of all networking capabilities across the constellation, ensuring seamless integration between User Terminals, Satellite Payloads, SDN, AMF, OSS, Terrestrial Networks, and Network Simulation environments.
You will work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams, security, Program Management, and Operations to deliver a cohesive, secure, and high‑performance network design aligned with Rivada’s mission. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling MEF‑compliant services such as e-Line, e-Tree, and e-LAN with MEF SLAs and LSO APIs.

This includes:
• Leading and developing a high‑performing Network Engineering organization, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Driving Rivada’s network technology strategy and contributing to industry standards (MEF, 3GPP, IEEE, etc.)
• Structuring and scaling the team to support program requirements, system design, vendor management, integration, and testing
• Ensuring operational readiness through procedures, documentation, and training plans
• Providing Level 3 engineering support, participating in incident analysis, and driving continuous improvement
• Supporting Product & Services and Sales teams in designing and delivering new offerings, including bespoke customer solutions
• Managing the Network Engineering budget and identifying opportunities for cost optimization
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in close collaboration with security teams
• Building Network Work Orders, validating test results, and contributing to the Operations Change Board
• Supporting the full lifecycle of service delivery from concept to operational handover

Occasional travel may be required.

What you bring on the table:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within network engineering or related domains
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical strategy with organizational objectives
• Deep knowledge of network technologies, radio frequency concepts, device management, and mobile handover mechanisms
• Understanding of network security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Experience delivering MEF‑compliant services or similar carrier‑grade networking solutions
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically, drive organizational change, and lead through complexity
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and in an international environment
• Excellent written and spoken English
