As a Loan Syndications specialist, the Senior Director will ensure the deal team balances opportunity, liquidity and profitability while creatively pushing market leading structures that are attractive to other bank participants. Other responsibilities include:
• Instills confidence via strong communication skills, experience, process management and market knowledge
• Provides exceptional, timely, and collaborative deal team support and client coverage to grow the Bank’s market share and deepen client relationships and overage.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement processes and procedures to meet deal team and client expectations and ensure consistency
• Directly maintains and deepens relationships with the external market to keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics and pricing
• Ensures visibility of the Syndications team internally and externally
• Provides coaching to junior team members and lending teams on complex credit structures, availability of market liquidity/ appetite for the various structures and regarding closings.
• Opportunity to work on the largest transactions across Ontario East for all lines of business including Diversified Industries, Sponsor Finance, Real Estate, Asset Based Lending, etc.
Qualifications: Typically 10 years of relevant lending experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the established qualification standards.
• Commitment: ~24 months- Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Relationship Management, Account Management or Portfolio Management in a corporate or similar segmented banking environment with sales metrics is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
• If a Credit Qualifiable role, Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the credit portfolio requirements and qualification standards.
• Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
