Job purpose
The Senior Director of the CHIME Education Foundation and Philanthropy will lead the growth and advancement of the CHIME Education Foundation, driving philanthropic investment that supports leadership development, workforce advancement, scholarships, and educational initiatives that strengthen the future of digital health.
This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that engages healthcare leaders, industry partners, and philanthropic supporters. Working closely with CHIME executive leadership and the Education Foundation Board, the Senior Director will cultivate meaningful relationships across the healthcare and digital health ecosystem to build sustainable philanthropic support and expand the Foundation’s impact.
The Senior Director will play a critical role in aligning philanthropic initiatives with CHIME’s broader mission to support digital health leaders throughout their professional journey.
Duties and responsibilities
Foundation Leadership and Strategy
Lead the strategic growth and advancement of the CHIME Education Foundation.
Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropic strategy aligned with CHIME’s mission and education priorities.
Partner with CHIME executive leadership and the Education Foundation Board to identify opportunities to expand the Foundation’s reach and impact.
Fundraising and Development
Develop and execute fundraising initiatives that support scholarships, leadership development programs, and workforce advancement.
Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors, healthcare executives, and corporate partners.
Lead major gift and corporate philanthropy efforts to generate sustainable funding for Foundation programs.
Build and manage a donor pipeline and fundraising campaigns that align with CHIME’s strategic priorities.
Donor and Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with CHIME members, industry leaders, and philanthropic supporters.
Partner with CHIME leadership and board members to expand donor engagement and philanthropic participation.
Develop compelling messaging and impact stories that demonstrate the value of philanthropic investment in CHIME’s education initiatives.
Governance and Reporting
Work closely with the CHIME Education Foundation Board to support governance and fundraising priorities.
Provide regular reporting on fundraising performance, donor engagement, and program impact.
Ensure philanthropic activities align with nonprofit governance and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required.
10 years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy, development, or corporate partnership leadership.
Demonstrated success securing major gifts, corporate philanthropy, or sponsorship revenue.
Experience working with executive leaders, boards, and high-level stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills.
Experience in healthcare, health IT, nonprofit associations, education, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate mission-driven initiatives into compelling philanthropic opportunities.
Proven ability to build partnerships and expand donor engagement within complex stakeholder environments.
This is a remote based position. Some travel will be required.
