Senior DevSecOps Engineer

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based IT infrastructures in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all work performed by the team complies with technical, security and IT policy guidelines.
• Lead DevSecOps teams in successful performance of the required tasks, applying strong understanding and experience that spans relevant technologies.
• Provideexpertise in large-scale, high-performance enterprise application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS.
• Lead the requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of enhancements.
• Evaluate technical trends and provide recommendations for technology and architecture to meet business objectives.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (equivalent additional years of related experience may be substituted for degree).
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in the IT field focusing on development projects, DevSecOps, and technical architecture.
• Three (3) or more years in architecture and design of enterprise applications in cloud platforms, preferably in AWS.
• A strong understanding and work experience in DevSecOps, including but not limited to Java, CICD Jenkins, infrastructure and code automation, Kubernetes, alerting and monitoring tools, application and infrastructure-application logging, security tools, GitHub, code quality tools, secrets management, AWS services suite, etc., Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) framework, Infrastructure, and UXD/IxD development methodologies.
• Infrastructure Maintenance Operations experience using the above tools highly desired.
