Senior DevOps Engineer – FinOps

As a Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to influence how our entire R&D organization builds in the cloud. Your insights will directly shape smarter engineering decisions, ensuring teams innovate at scale while maximizing value from every dollar we spend.

What you bring to the table:

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS pricing models and cost optimization best practices, including the Cost Optimization pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) in roles such as DevOps, Cloud Engineer, FinOps, or Platform Engineer.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills—able to influence, educate, and partner effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong leadership in cross-functional initiatives—capable of driving long, complex projects to completion by acting as the de facto project manager when needed.

What you’ll do:

• Lead cloud cost optimization efforts. Our tech stack includes: AWS, EKS, CastAI, Akamai, Coralogix, GitHub

• Partner with R&D teams to identify inefficiencies, propose cost reduction strategies, and promote FinOps best practices.

• Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

• Build dashboards and reports to track cloud spend/savings, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for optimization.

• Drive accountability by coordinating with multiple teams, setting timelines, and ensuring completion of cost-saving initiatives.

• Act as the primary FinOps advisor for R&D—balancing cost efficiency, performance, and innovation.

• Stay ahead of AWS, Kubernetes, and FinOps best practices, bringing in new approaches and tools where valuable.

• 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud.

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification is a bonus.
