ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to work on a large-scale vehicle visualization platform designed to deliver high-quality vehicle imagery to multiple downstream systems within a global automotive organization. The solution operates in a distributed environment and supports numerous consuming services, requiring high availability, scalability, and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services (S3, EC2, Load Balancing and DynamoDB).

• Implementation of backlog items according to project quality standards.

• Build, deploy, and maintain backend services using Java (Quarkus) and Python.

• Responsibility for estimations, code reviews, documentation, and presentation of results.

• Ensure system scalability, performance, and high availability across distributed systems.

• Balancing development, bug fixing, and refinement to achieve Zero Defects, Zero Spillover, and Zero Pull.

• Active support of user story refinement together with Business Analysts.

• Participation in operational duties as Agent on Duty and Agent on Call, handling tickets within contractual SLAs are mandatory.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of system architecture and DevOps practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, especially S3, EC2, Load Balancing and DynamoDB.

• Proficiency in backend development using Java (preferably Quarkus) and Python.

• Experience with cloud‑native architectures, unit testing, and code quality standards.

• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Good understanding of non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and maintainability Soft Skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional teams.

• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to raise and address technical challenges.

• High level of self‑organization, ownership, and continuous learning attitude.

• Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
