Senior DevOps Engineer

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve our cloud-native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will support Kubernetes-based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, security, and observability, enabling reliable and scalable application delivery.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Manage and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including namespaces, resource tuning, and autoscaling;
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML) and ArgoCD;
• Build and manage container images using Docker multi-stage builds and Azure Container Registry;
• Implement and operate Istio Service Mesh, including mTLS, traffic routing, and JWT policies;
• Manage Azure infrastructure components such as Application Gateway, API Management, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Event Hubs, and Blob Storage;
• Implement networking and security best practices (VNets, subnets, private endpoints, firewalls);
• Manage secrets, keys, and certificates using Azure Key Vault;
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems using Azure Monitor and Application Insights;
• Ensure container and storage security using Microsoft Defender;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Hands-on experience managing AKS in production environments;
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (deployments, services, HPA, rolling updates);
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices;
• Experience with Istio configuration and service mesh architectures;
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security (VNet, private endpoints, WAF, firewalls);
• Experience with Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management;
• Strong troubleshooting and operational skills in cloud-native environments;
• Experience working in an Agile environment;

Nice to Have

• Experience with Imperva WAF and advanced API security setups;
• Deep knowledge of Azure API Management;
• Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert AZ‑400;
• Experience supporting microservice platforms with high availability requirements;
• Familiarity with compliance, security hardening, and zero-trust architectures;
• Experience collaborating closely with backend engineering teams.
