Senior Database Engineer (TS/SCI FSP Required)

Position Name: Senior Database Engineer
Location: Jessup, Maryland
Clearance: TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph
We're looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain databases that support system architecture and operations. If you love solving complex data challenges and optimizing database performance, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll do:
Design and build database structures to store and manage data efficiently.
Support system improvements, data flow analysis, and database administration.
Develop and maintain database parser and loading software.
Translate business and IT needs into usable database schemas using queries, scripts, and macros.
Lead the development of databases, ensuring they balance performance, security, and scalability.
Oversee database integration, cloud-based storage, and optimization efforts.
What you need:
10+ years of experience as a Database Engineer working on complex systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or an extra 5 years of experience instead).
Strong experience with database development, query optimization, and cloud storage solutions.
Database experience with MongoDB or MariaDB
Experience using Django or Flask
ReST endpoint and Micro services
An active TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph
Salary Range: $125,000 - $155,000 (Commensurate with experience)
Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
