N-iX is looking for a passionate, skilled and motivated Senior Data Support Engineer to join the team.
Our customer is the leading school transportation solutions provider in North America. Every day, the company complete 5 million student journeys, moving more passengers than all U.S. airlines combined and delivers reliable, quality services including full-service transportation and management, special-needs transportation, route optimization and scheduling, maintenance, and charter services for 1,100 school district contracts.
N-iX is building cooperation with the client through several projects of different sizes and durations. Currently, the account contains around 10 projects in different stages and keeps actively growing.
Responsibilities:
Support services include:
• Insights BI queue monitoring in ServiceNow and ticket resolution
• Provide support in production environments in all data and analytics environments
• Plan, test, and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches
• Create, handle, and monitor all data and analytics pipelines; resolve all pipeline failure
• Build, update, and run scripts in all Data Transformation tooling; troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix errors related to data ingestion
• Oversee development and modification efforts in all Client’s warehouse environments
• Install, configure, and provide support after implementation
Resource Qualifications: Resources assigned to the Managed Services Team will be proficient in the support of cloud data and analytics technologies within the AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks technology suites.
Requirements:
• Upper-intermediate English written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines monitoring (T1) and fixing (T2)
• Experience in the support of cloud data and analytics technologies within the AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks technology suites
• Good knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts
• Strong SQL skills
• Good Python skills
• Perfect troubleshooting skills
• Readiness to communicate with end users in an effective and efficient manner
Nice to have:
• Experience with Spark
• Experience using the ServiceDesk would be a plus
• Experience working with Azure services would be a plus
• Experience building and maintaining DBT pipelines is a plus
