Senior Data Strategy Consultant (m/w/d)

Our AI Strategy team supports our customers in designing and implementing their data & AI strategy. In doing so, we always pursue the goal of enabling the full potential of data, data science and AI. Working closely with our clients, we take on a wide variety of strategic challenges, from the initial determination of the AI maturity level and the formulation of the data & AI strategy to the development and implementation of new operating models.

Your tasks:
Focus: designing data strategies and target visions• You operate at the interface of business and technology and develop comprehensive data strategies, operating models, governance structures, and roadmaps that enable companies to operate in a data-driven manner
• You analyze the status quo, define a data vision as well as strategic goals, and derive concrete initiatives such as data products, use cases, or data capabilities
• You design data operating models including roles (e.g., Data Owners, Stewards), processes, and tools and support their implementation
• You design and refine data governance frameworks and support clients in building scalable standards and structures
• You lead conceptual discussions on data architecture and act as a link between the client side and the technical specialists in our development department
• You prepare workshops and management presentations and moderate them confidently
• You evaluate current developments in the field of AI with regard to their impact on data strategies and integrate these into your recommendations

Additional responsibilities as Senior Tech Consultant• Lead data strategy projects or major workstreams end-to-end (scope, approach, deliverables, quality, steering)
• Act as a trusted advisor on data strategy and operating model topics for senior client stakeholders.
• Shape data strategy approaches and frameworks within our company and ensure their consistent application across projects
• Take a visible role in business development (e.g., identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, co-developing offerings in data strategy)
• Mentor and coach more junior colleagues and foster a culture of knowledge sharing on data strategy and governance

Your profile:
• Master’s degree in (business) informatics, business administration, data science, economics, or a comparable field
• At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of data strategy, data management, or data governance – ideally in consulting or a strategy-focused role in industry
• Practical experience in one or more of the following areas:• development of data strategies and roadmaps
• design and implementation of data governance
• data management (e.g., data quality management, metadata management, master data management)
• design of data operating models and data roles
• definition and prioritization of data use cases / data products

• Solid understanding of modern data platforms and architectures and how these enable data strategies
• Strong conceptual and structured thinking; you enjoy turning complex data landscapes and organizational setups into clear frameworks and options
• Confident stakeholder management and communication skills; you are comfortable working with both business and IT stakeholders
• A consulting mindset: you take ownership, are comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoy working collaboratively in client-facing teams
• Very good communication and presentation skills in German and English

Additional requirements as Senior Tech Consultant• 4+ years of relevant experience with a clear focus on data strategy, data governance, or data management
• Proven track record leading projects or substantial workstreams
• Experience acting as a sparring partner for senior stakeholders on data-related strategic decisions
• Experience in business development (e.g., proposal work, shaping new offerings, thought leadership) is a plus
• High level of autonomy and confidence in representing our perspective on data
• The role and both levels require verified German language skills at a minimum of C1 level.
