YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You engage with technical and business stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions
• You design, develop, refine and test data science solutions focusing on time series predictions, capacity optimizations and time models
• You understand operational dynamics and can build models that balance service levels with resource efficiency across both tactical (weeks to months) and strategic (quarterly to annual) planning horizons
• You stay updated on the latest research in forecasting techniques and optimizations but are not afraid to use classical or greedy solutions when relevant
• You work closely with business stakeholders, MLOps engineers, and software developers to deploy end-to-end solutions and continuously improve models

 

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Workforce Management and Optimization You have experience in resource planning, scheduling, and capacity optimization (e.g., constraint programming, linear/integer programming, heuristic optimization methods)
• Machine Learning & Forecasting You are proficient in modern ML techniques (time series forecasting, regression, optimization algorithms and reinforcement learning)
• Product & Strategy Insight You combine analytical depth with business acumen, contributing to product strategy, shaping roadmaps, and ensuring that data science solutions directly influence decision-making and long-term business outcomes
• Analytical Mindset You show the ability to translate complex business problems into actionable analytical tasks and clearly communicate findings to various audiences
• Programming Skills You have expertise in Python for data analysis, modelling, and production deployment. You have experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
• Communication You interact efficiently with stakeholders across business, product, software engineering, and data science teams (fluent English required)
