Role Summary

tvScientific is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to expand our team! You'll be working with a distributed engineering team on our Connected TV ad-buying platform, as we continue to grow. We’ve cracked the code on optimizing TV ad campaigns. We’re scaling massively and we need your help to make that scale work economically.

An Idealab company, tvScientific was co-founded by executives with deep roots in programmatic advertising and digital media. tvScientific helps our clients buy ads across the CTV universe, from Hulu to PlutoTV to the ad-supported tier of Disney+ and (HBO) Max. We have partnerships with NBCUniversal and Roku to advance CTV performance advertising.

What You'll Do

• Write production code in Python.

• Design, launch, and analyze experiments to optimize ad campaigns.

• Build reporting and analytics tools for the Data Science Team's customers.

• Translate into tvScientific's Data Science Product.

How We'll Define Success

• Utility of new reporting and analytics tools.

• Speed of translation between DS Analytics & DS Product team.

• Quality of service you provide to the Data Science team's customers.

You’ll Be Successful in This Role if You Have/Are

• Experience writing and reviewing production-level code in Python.

• Excellent writing skills.

• Strong statistics and ML fundamentals.

• Desire to work at a fast-growing Series B startup–working under uncertainty, owning and scaling new products, and an experimental and iterative development process.

You May Also Have

• Adtech or CTV experience

• Teaching experience.

• Big data experience with Scala, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, and AWS Athena.

• Exceptional data visualization skills
