Senior Data Scientist

It's with that in mind that Beyond is looking to add a Senior Data Scientist to our growing Engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to leverage AI, ML, and statistical techniques to innovate on the core product at Beyond - our dynamic pricing algorithm for short term rentals. You’ll work closely with experts from Revenue Management as well as data engineers to identify, design, test and implement improvements using a modern data processing workflow and tools.

As our Senior Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for:

• Collaborating with your cross-functional peers from Revenue Management, Product, Design, and Engineering on an outcome-based team to craft and deliver on OKRs related to dynamic pricing recommendations and analysis for the short term rental industry.

• Designing to ensure solutions are deeply informed by user needs, measurable outcomes, and aligned with Beyond’s product vision.

• Working closely with data engineers to design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring production readiness, and deploying scalable solutions.

• Driving the application of modern AI technologies, such as RAG, MCP, and embedding-based semantic search to accelerate internal tooling and improve user-facing intelligence.

• Integrating observability, monitoring, and human feedback collection into ML pipelines and agentic systems to continuously improve model performance and user alignment.

• Applying tools like LangChain and other orchestration frameworks to prototype and ship LLM-powered assistants, agents, and automations that enhance customer decision-making.

• Mentoring fellow Data Scientists and championing best practices in experimentation, validation (e.g. A/B testing, synthetic controls), and interpretability.

Now that we’ve told you what the job looks like, here are the qualifications we're looking for in a candidate:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist and 10+ years in SaaS overall, preferably in high-scale, multi-tenant platforms.

• Proven expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling, with a track record of delivering models that meaningfully move product or revenue metrics.

• Fluency with Python and tools such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, scipy, Spark, SQL, Streamlit, or other common data science frameworks.

• A strong product orientation, seeking to understand customer behavior, measure impact, and co-create value with cross-functional partners.

• An experimental mindset, with familiarity in designing and interpreting causal inference frameworks (e.g., A/B tests, synthetic controls).

• Hands-on experience with modern AI techniques and tooling, including vector search, embeddings, RAG pipelines, LangChain, and model observability platforms is a plus.

• Located in Brazil or Peru

• Experience in revenue management, dynamic pricing, or the short term rental industry is a strong plus.
