Senior Data Science Consultant

To support our growth, we are recruiting Senior Consultants specializing in advanced analytics and Generative AI solutions. You will lead client engagements from strategy through execution, manage stakeholders, and guide project teams toward impactful delivery.  

Responsibilities  

• Develop and oversee advanced predictive and explanatory models (Machine Learning, econometrics, optimization, and time-series forecasting). 

• Lead innovative projects leveraging Generative AI and large language models (LLMs). 

• Manage client engagements as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations to middle and senior management. 

• Guide multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring team members and ensuring impactful project delivery. 

Within Sia, you will: 

• Contribute to enhancing Sia’s Data Science and Generative AI offerings through internal training sessions, working groups, and publications. 

•  Represent Sia at professional events, actively contributing to thought leadership (articles, white papers, webinars). 

•  Support business development by crafting proposals, identifying collaboration opportunities, and nurturing long-term client relationships. 

Your profile 

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach. 

• Experienced in clearly communicating complex ideas to varied audiences. 

• Effective at managing multiple stakeholders and guiding project teams. 

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop colleagues. 

• Interested in applying innovative analytics and AI solutions to drive sustainability and create meaningful business impact. 

• Completed WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming. 

• 3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research). 

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to explore options systematically and synthesize actionable insights. 

• A fast learner who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and entrepreneurial drive. 

• Fluency in English, with excellent communication and presentation abilities. Dutch or French fluency is a plus. 

• You have a strong interest in data and AI-related topics, the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas, and you’re excited about helping our clients seize the opportunities they offer.

• Proven interest in Data Science, Generative AI, and relevant sectors such as Energy and Finance.
