WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 🌟

We’re looking for a motivated and impact-driven Data Engineer to join our Data team. This role is primarily focused on strengthening our data platform by designing and maintaining infrastructure and tooling to deliver greater autonomy for teams creating their own pipelines, while also contributing to implementing reliable and actionable datasets for the business. You’ll be responsible for choosing and introducing new technologies where they add real value while ensuring stability in areas that already work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 🚀

• Build and Evolve the Platform: Design, develop, and optimize data infrastructure that empower teams to build and run their own pipelines and data products.

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: explore emerging data tools and technologies, experimenting with new approaches that could strengthen our platform, while pragmatically balancing innovation with what already works.

• Build Scalable Pipelines: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines that ingest, process, and deliver reliable data across the company.

• Ensure Data Quality & Security: Implement monitoring, governance, and best practices to keep our systems accurate, performant, and compliant.

• Collaborate & Enable: Partner with Analysts, ML Scientists, and Engineers to deliver structured datasets to unlock new insights.

• Innovate: Experiment with advanced data modelling and analytical techniques to improve system capabilities and create new opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 💥

• Proven experience in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on platform and infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with cloud and data infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Redis).

• Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• You actively follow new developments in the data ecosystem (e.g., cataloguing, observability, orchestration, cloud services) and aren’t afraid to test new tools, adopting them when they provide clear value.

• Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Dagster, Prefect, along with data observability and cataloguing platforms (e.g., Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, DataHub, or similar).

• Strong SQL expertise for large-scale querying and optimization, plus experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Proficiency in Python for data processing.

• Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehouse architectures, with the ability to design evolving data systems.

• Experience implementing DevOps practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes).
