Job Description
Senior Data Consultant | Financial Services | Consulting | Brussels-based
At Projective Group, we’re looking for a data‑led consultant who’s ready to help our clients in the financial sector strengthen the way they work with data.
If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity, creating clarity in information flows, and helping organisations truly trust and utilise their data, this role will feel like home.
Financial institutions want to scale AI responsibly. That requires trustworthy data, clear governance, compliant controls, and evidence that the environment is “AI‑ready.” As a consultant, you’ll guide AI readiness assessments for banks, insurers, and other financial players to build that evidence and strengthen the way they organise, protect, and leverage their data.
You will shape the assessment, engage senior stakeholders, score maturity, and build the roadmap and operating model to unlock value from AI while meeting regulatory expectations.,.
We are Projective Group, a leading financial services consulting firm where innovation and technology meet business. By partnering with top industry platforms and combining domain knowledge with hands-on data management expertise, we help our clients become truly data focused.

• Design and roll out practical frameworks for defining, documenting, securing, and using data consistently across the organisation.
• Define, govern, and oversee metadata capture, glossaries, and ownership using tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Purview.
• Translate regulatory policies (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, DORA) into monitoring and data controls, including specifications for automated checks, profiling, and quality dashboards.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews (CxO to squad level) to identify use cases and assess data fitness, trust levels, and acceptance criteria.
• Define the Target Operating Model, including roles (data owners, stewards, AI ethics), processes (issue management, change, documentation), and RACI.
• Guide the remediation roadmap (6–18 months), identify quick wins, set governance tooling strategy, prioritise implementation, and mentor junior consultants.
• Deliver executive readouts and steerco materials, ensuring alignment across business, technology, risk, and compliance for sustainable adoption.
