At GoDaddy, our Finance Data Engineering team is transforming Finance's data capabilities from a single-function platform to a comprehensive, multi-functional data ecosystem. We're building a unified Finance Data Foundation that enables data-driven decision-making across Procurement, Cost Accounting, Revenue Accounting, FP&A, and Investor Relations

As a Software Engineer on the Finance Data Engineering team, you will build scalable data pipelines, develop financial applications, and deliver analytics solutions that serve enterprise-wide finance operations. You'll work across our modern data stack (AWS, Teradata, Snowflake) to develop ETL/ELT workflows, integrate multiple source systems, and enable self-service analytics. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with collaboration across finance domains to deliver solutions that accelerate financial processes and enable data-driven insights!

What you'll get to do...

• Develop data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across AWS, Snowflake, and Teradata to serve multiple finance functions

• Build data integration solutions connecting source systems (AWS Data Lake, Redshift, MS SQL, 3rd party SaaS platforms)

• Develop APIs and services to enrich data in both batch and streaming scenarios

• Build financial applications, reporting solutions, dashboards, and self-service analytical tools using AWS QuickSight and modern frameworks to enable faster decision-making

• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and automated reconciliation and contribute to data governance standards including SOX compliance and security controls

• Support ML model development for forecasting and predictive analytics, troubleshoot complex production issues across multiple systems

• Work with Finance Systems, Finance Enablement, and business stakeholders to write scalable, cloud-ready code and transform, store, and distribute financial data

Your experience should include...

• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying production-grade software

• Strong proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent cloud platform

• Strong SQL skills writing queries to extract, transform, and analyze data

• Experience with modern data warehousing platforms such as Teradata, Snowflake, or Redshift

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, including considerations for performance, reliability, and scalability

• Demonstrated experience building full-stack applications, spanning backend services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces

You might also have...

• Experience with financial data domains (revenue, forecasting, procurement, cost accounting) and Machine Learning frameworks

• Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript, or Golang

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and DevOps practices

• Experience building web applications or analytics tools

• Understanding of data quality, governance, or compliance requirements
