Hiflylabs is looking for experienced Senior Data Engineer partners for long-term project-based collaborations. We are looking for experts who value professional freedom and variety. We are open to discussing different levels of engagement, including both full-time and part-time (20-30 hours/week) roles, depending on our project pipeline and your availability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern data architectures and lakehouse solutions (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Create effort estimations and provide technical expertise during the pre-sales phase.
• Mentor 3-6 person project teams and ensure code quality (code reviews).

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and data tools (Databricks or Snowflake).
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or PySpark.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering complex data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Hungarian.
• Valid B2B/Contractor status with the ability to issue invoices.
