About the role

In the role of Senior Data Analyst, you will report to the Manager of Data Analytics.

We are considering applicants for the location of Los Angeles.

The Senior Data Analyst will support the analytics and reporting needs for Crunchyroll’s non-VOD lines of business. This includes: Digital Manga, eCommerce, Gaming, Theatrical, Sublicensing, and Collectibles. You will be crucial in building the foundational analytics infrastructure for our diversified product portfolio. This includes consolidating fragmented data sources, developing longitudinal performance tracking, and creating standardized reports and dashboards. You'll translate complex business questions into clear analytical requirements, delivering insights that quantify product value and drive strategic growth across Crunchyroll.

Core Areas of Responsibility

• Reporting & Visualization: Create and maintain compelling, standardized dashboards and certified reports that track key performance indicators and deliver comprehensive visibility into product performance.

• Analytics Infrastructure Development: Design event-level telemetry and implement the necessary data pipelines to enable business intelligence tools and reporting across all stakeholder verticals.

• Data Quality Management: Implement data validation processes and establish reporting standards to ensure accuracy and consistency across analytics outputs

• Cross-Business Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and reporting to understand interconnections and synergies between flywheel verticals and other business units

• Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions

About You

• 8+ years of experience as a data analyst with proven track record in business intelligence and reporting

• Highly proficient in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis from large datasets

• Expert-level experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI, Looker) for dashboard creation and data visualization

• Ability to use Python effectively for data analysis and transformation using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and re

• Strong business acumen with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations

• Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify data quality issues, and implement validation processes

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with data analysts, engineers, and cross-functional teams

• Autonomous problem solver with ability to work directly with stakeholders to scope actionable reporting solutions

About the Team

This role will be a part of the Center for Data & Insights (CDI), the centralized analytics team that supports the data analytics needs of Crunchyroll. Specifically, you will join the Flywheel Experience Analytics team, which focuses on non-VOD products and serves as a trusted thought partner providing unbiased analyses to stakeholders across gaming, eCommerce, digital manga, and commerce verticals. The team is responsible for building and maintaining reporting infrastructure for these non-VOD products while quantifying the ways that our diversified product portfolio provides value to our members. You will collaborate closely with other analysts supporting these interconnected business verticals to deliver comprehensive insights that drive strategic decision-making across Crunchyroll's expanding ecosystem.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
