About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to support operational and performance-driven projects in a fast-paced, production environment. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and project goals into robust data models, generate actionable insights, and ensure data integrity, governance, and performance visibility across projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with ambiguity, building datasets from scratch, and using statistical rigor to drive operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

1. Requirements Definition & Data Engineering

• Engage with stakeholders to capture, clarify, and articulate data requirements.
• Translate project goals into well-structured, scalable data schemas.
• Identify gaps in existing datasets and design systematic approaches to generate or source required data.

2. Statistical Performance Analysis

• Apply statistical techniques such as regression analysis, distribution analysis, and hypothesis testing to performance data.
• Distinguish between natural variance and statistically significant changes in throughput or quality.
• Use historical data to forecast future performance and proactively identify potential SLA risks.

3. Data Quality & Governance

• Take ownership of data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define and implement data governance requirements to ensure high-quality and reliable performance data.
• Design and execute compliance testing frameworks aligned with internal governance, security, and privacy standards.

4. Operational Efficiency & Optimization

• Build and maintain advanced operational dashboards to track performance, throughput, and accuracy.
• Provide real-time visibility into project health, enabling Project Leads to make timely, data-driven decisions.
• Conduct root cause analysis using methods such as outlier detection and correlation analysis when KPIs are not met.
• Design and run controlled experiments to test workflow changes and statistically validate process improvements.

Requirements:
Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role, ideally within an operational or production environment.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
• Expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Statistical & Analytical Foundation

• Solid understanding of probability distributions.
• Strong grasp of correlation vs. causation.
• Experience with predictive modeling and performance forecasting.

Communication

• Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.

Key Success Indicators (First 90 Days)

• Baseline Establishment: Complete a comprehensive audit of existing project data schemas and identify at least three optimization opportunities.
• Governance Framework: Implement standardized compliance testing for a minimum of two major workflows.
• Strategic Reporting: Deliver a predictive performance model capable of identifying SLA risks at least two weeks in advance.
