Senior Consultants and Managers to Deloitte’s M&A Finance team in Stockholm

M&A Finance is part of Deloitte’s global Finance Transformation network with over 11,000 specialists helping finance functions evolve and meet new demands. M&A Finance is driving the development of a strong M&A collaboration across the Nordics. We combine an advisory approach with strong frameworks and an operational mindset to support our clients throughout the M&A process.

Our offering is multidisciplinary by default, and we specialize in Post Merger Integration (PMI) – working with clients on critical finance organization projects after signing and before Day 1. We work with CFOs and finance leaders to manage risks and costs, secure successful Day 1 readiness, and design and execute the building blocks of the new Finance Operating Model.

As a Senior Consultant or Manager in the M&A Finance team, you will work with clients to drive and navigate critical finance integration initiatives during M&A events. Your work will focus on the finance organization specifically, combining strategic advisory with hands-on project execution to deliver transformational outcomes.

Your responsibilities will span the entire Post Merger Integration lifecycle, including:

• Day 1 Planning & Execution – Leading one or several finance workstreams to deliver end-to-end finance readiness, ensuring smooth transition and operational continuity
• Finance Integration Project Management – Running or supporting the project management office coordinating full Finance workstream delivery, managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment
• Baseline & Blueprinting – Creating a strong foundation for future carve-outs or integrations by understanding client finance processes, identifying gaps and similarities, and optimizing resource allocation
• Finance Advisory – Advising clients with best practices, strong frameworks, and comprehensive understanding of the M&A lifecycle
• Post Day 1 Integration – Planning, executing, and reporting on finance workstream integrations, leading multiple finance tracks through stabilization and optimization
• Synergy Tracking & Capture – Identifying, tracking, and realizing financial synergies across the integration
• Finance Stabilization & Transformation – Helping clients stabilize, optimize, and scale their finance department post-integration

You will work with a strong, multidisciplinary team, bringing together the right expertise at the right time. Your projects will leverage global frameworks and utilize our full range of finance capabilities, typically in long-term transformational engagements. You will have the opportunity to work on projects at a Nordic level, collaborating closely with our Nordic M&A Finance colleagues to deliver seamless solutions and share best practices. Additionally, you will become part of a continuously growing community of M&A finance professionals working towards positioning Deloitte M&A practice as the preferred partner across the Nordics.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
• 2-7 years of work experience within finance
• Operational experience from a finance function or experience from Audit
• Deep understanding of finance-related processes and operational workflows
• M&A experience (integrations, carve-outs, or similar) with understanding of the M&A lifecycle
• Project management experience, including managing parts or entire projects
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities and ability to work with both technical finance professionals and C-suite executives
• Strong analytical skills and ability to find optimal solutions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
• Strong interpersonal and commercial skills
• Excellent written and verbal ability in English. Swedish language skills are considered a plus
