Job Overview
Senior strategy role supporting residential development teams in crafting market-informed development approaches, analyzing investment opportunities, and driving strategic decision-making within the residential business unit.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the residential development portfolio, optimizing residential portfolio variety and rollout based on market analysis
• Create comprehensive development strategies on different topics including: target customer segments, product differentiation and adaptation to different users, change management based on market movements and trends
• Work on developing and refining business models for the development department, scrutinizing and setting fees, scopes of work, developer selection, and reviewing/critiquing highest best-use studies
• Creating presentations for management communicating team and departmental information
• Analyze end-to-end residential development processes to identify efficiencies and optimization opportunities
• Represent the company with external consultants, funds, developers, end users
• Assess and evaluate different investment structures
• Draw roadmaps analyzing requirements, processes, and procedures relating to real estate field, including setting up real estate development and investment entities, interfacing with relevant authorities, etc..
• Create business cases for residential development opportunities
Requirements:
• 5-9 years of professional experience with a background in strategy consulting and real estate investment/development
• Minimum of 3 years in consulting
• Additional years in relevant roles (real estate development, investment, or strategy preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master's degree in relevant field advantageous
• Proven experience in real estate investment analysis, market assessment, development, and/or RE strategy (Can be within the consulting company or part of a specialized Real Estate, Engineering or Development firm)
• Strong financial modeling skills and ability to evaluate complex investment structures
• Experience managing stakeholders across public and private sectors
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
