Job Description
1. Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and business-savvy Senior Consultant / Project Lead with proven experience in management consulting, Generative AI solutions, and end-to-end digital transformation delivery.
This role is responsible for defining business problems, shaping AI-led solutions, driving project execution, and ensuring successful adoption across business units. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable business impact through innovative digital initiatives.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Opportunity Identification & Consulting Advisory
• Conduct in-depth diagnostics including stakeholder interviews, process reviews, data analysis, and market scans.
• Identify meaningful GenAI and automation opportunities across business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, and customer-experience workflows.
• Build structured problem frameworks and hypotheses to bring clarity to ambiguous business challenges.
• Benchmark industry trends and identify GenAI use cases relevant to the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Build business cases covering benefits, cost drivers, risks, and adoption strategy.
B. Solution Design & AI Architecture Alignment
• Translate business problems into well-defined GenAI solution designs involving LLMs, prompt engineering, NLP, document automation, RAG, chatbots, and workflow automation.
• Work with design teams, solution architects, data scientists, and engineering squads to shape practical, scalable solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with technology standards, security, data protection, and governance frameworks.
• Challenge existing processes to avoid “automation of inefficiencies” and promote reengineered, customer-centric journeys.
• Support prototyping, POCs, and technical feasibility assessments of AI models and platforms.
C. Requirement Gathering & User Journey Documentation
• Lead requirement-gathering sessions, storyboarding workshops, and cross-functional design sprints.
• Document detailed functional requirements, BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Validate requirements with both business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.
• Present solution proposals and project updates in steering committees and governance forums.
• Ensure all requirements are traceable from design to delivery to benefits realisation.
D. Project & Program Management
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from use-case scoping to production deployment.
• Drive strong execution discipline—defining plans, tracking timelines, managing risks, and ensuring clear ownership across teams.
• Anticipate bottlenecks early, escalate where necessary, and facilitate decision-making among senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with vendors, technology partners, data teams, and compliance teams as part of large transformation streams.
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines.
E. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business teams throughout the transformation lifecycle.
• Influence leaders across technology, business, risk, compliance, and operations.
• Translate complex AI concepts into simple, business-friendly language.
• Guide users during UAT, readiness checks, pilot rollout, and change-management activities.
• Establish trust by providing expert advisory and quickly addressing queries or challenges.
F. Communication, Presentation & Leadership Excellence
• Craft compelling presentations that convert analytical insights into clear narratives for senior leadership.
• Deliver high-impact communication at VP/SVP/CXO-1 levels with confidence and structure.
• Prepare documentation suitable for leadership steering committees, ExCo updates, and transformation reviews.
• Mentor junior consultants, business analysts, and project resources where required.
3. Required Competencies
Technical Competencies
• Hands-on understanding of Generative AI and LLM technologies (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, vector databases, RAG pipelines).
• Exposure to ML, NLP, automation (RPA/IPA), workflow orchestration, and digital product engineering.
• Ability to evaluate AI models, design prompt strategies, and recommend implementation patterns.
• Understanding of APIs, cloud services, microservices, data models, and integration ecosystems.
Consulting & Digital Transformation Competencies
• Experience in top-tier or mid-tier consulting firms, innovation labs, digital transformation PMOs, or enterprise strategy teams.
• Strong capability in process reengineering, customer journey design, and operating model transformation.
• Ability to convert high-level visions into structured, actionable workstreams.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, design thinking, and scaled agile frameworks.
Behavioural Competencies
• Executive presence with strong stakeholder influence skills.
• Analytical, structured, and hypothesis-driven approach.
• Excellent written & verbal communication; strong storytelling skills.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently.
• High resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
4. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Data Science, AI, or related fields.
• Consulting, AI, or project-management certifications are a plus (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, GenAI in Banking, AI Product Management).
5. Experience
• 7–12 years overall experience in consulting, AI transformation, digital strategy, or similar roles.
• Demonstrated success in leading at least 3+ large-scale digital/AI initiatives.
• Experience delivering transformation in banking, financial services, telecom, enterprise IT, or similar complex environments (preferred).
