What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the organization’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory
requirements within the CFDs, Forex, and Shares industry. The role provides strategic
oversight of compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and risk management, while
acting as a key advisor to the business on regulatory and compliance matters.
What We’re Looking For:
Regulatory Monitoring & Advisory
Monitor and interpret current and upcoming regulatory requirements, assessing
their impact on business operations and advising senior management accordingly.
Stay up to date with global regulatory developments within the CFDs, Forex, and Shares sectors.
Ensure that internal policies, procedures, and controls are aligned with evolving
regulatory expectations.
2. Compliance Monitoring & Framework Oversight
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring Program.
Oversee compliance reviews and monitoring activities to ensure continuous
adherence to regulatory obligations.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of regulatory reports,
filings, and disclosures.
3. Business & Product Compliance
Review and assess new products, services, and business initiatives from a
regulatory and risk perspective.
Provide expert compliance input to support strategic decision-making and
mitigate regulatory risks.
4. Licensing & Regulatory Engagement
Identify and assess licensing opportunities and regulatory requirements across
jurisdictions.
Lead or support the preparation and submission of licensing applications and
regulatory approvals.
Act as a point of contact with regulators, auditors, and external advisors on
compliance-related matters.
5. Policies, Controls & Risk Management
Oversee the development, review, and enhancement of internal compliance
policies, procedures, and controls.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and ensure appropriate mitigation
measures are implemented.
Investigate compliance breaches, incidents, and discrepancies, ensuring timely
escalation and resolution.
6. Training & Awareness
Provide ongoing compliance guidance, training, and support to internal
stakeholders.
Promote a strong compliance culture across the organization through effective
communication and awareness initiatives.
7. Customer & Marketing Oversight
Review customer communications and marketing materials to ensure compliance
with regulatory standards.
Support the handling and resolution of client complaints from a compliance
perspective.
8. Leadership & Team Oversight
Lead compliance-related projects and initiatives to enhance the compliance
function.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior compliance team members, ensuring high
standards of performance and delivery.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments to embed compliance requirements into
business processes.
Develop and monitor corrective action plans to address identified compliance
gaps.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance role within the CFDs, Forex, or
Shares industry.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CySEC Advanced or equivalent) are
considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial services regulation, particularly within CFDs and
Proven experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and risk
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage
multiple priorities.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and operate with a high level of
Strong integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluency in English; Greek or additional languages are an advantage.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and provide sound judgment in
complex situations.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 - on-site
