Company: Large Utility Company (Serving Multiple States)
Job Type: 12+ Month Contract
Pay Range: $35 to $50 per hour (DOE)
• Review and develop documentation around FERC requirements
• Reviewing existing policies and procedures for OATT compliance, OASIS and internet postings and other periodic requirements as laid out in various FERC rules and orders
• Assist subject matter experts in updating existing policies and procedures, or developing new policies/procedures
• Review evidence documentation for the same tasks, and will track progress on development and storage of documentation per the determined requirements
• Strive for consistency in quality and approach to documentation and compliance activities
• Manages and supports overall compliance program
• Performs research to understand requirements of pertinent federal, state and local regulatory schemes in reference to all business units within the organization
• Monitors operational compliance practices and performs risk assessments
• Analyzes existing policies, identifies gaps and recommends new or revised policies and procedures, approval processes, and monitoring methods
• Provides technical expertise in identifying and reducing areas of potential risk
• Gathers data, conducts analyses, and prepares work related to compliance reviews
• Participates in developing new compliance systems and tools to support large compliance projects.
• BS degree in Engineering, Business or Regulatory Studies (or 6 years of first hand experience in a compliance position in lieu of a degree)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current and proposed FERC requirements and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, team facilitation and leadership, process development, project organization and management, change management and performance reporting
• Computer Skills include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SharePoint and Project Wise would be beneficial
