Senior Compensation & Payroll Specialist

The Senior Compensation & Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting compensation administration and leading payroll execution activities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations. The role focuses on hands-on payroll management and compensation support, working closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to maintain data integrity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Compensation Support

· Support the maintenance of existing salary structures, job grades, and pay bands.

· Participate in annual compensation activities such as salary reviews, promotions, adjustments, and bonus payouts.

· Assist with compensation benchmarking exercises and prepare supporting analyses and reports.

Payroll Management & Execution (Core Focus)

· Manage the full payroll cycle for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.

· Operate, maintain, and optimize payroll processes using Excel and HR systems.

· Administer payroll additions and deductions, including shift schedules, overtime calculations, allowances, and attendance-based payroll inputs.

· Prepare, review, and validate payroll reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses; proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate payroll records in line with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

· Partner closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure payroll data accuracy (new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits, deductions, etc.).

· Develop and maintain payroll templates, trackers, dashboards, and databases to enhance efficiency and reporting.

· Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and support system upgrades, testing, and enhancements.

Requirements:
Must-Have Qualifications

· Minimum 4-5 years of payroll experience.

· Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.

· Experience managing payroll for large employee populations.

· High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Accounting background (education or professional experience preferred).

· Experience with HR or payroll systems.

· Exposure to payroll audits and compliance reporting.
