About You
We are looking for a motivated and creative communications professional to join our global Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, Asia, you will work closely with Press and Marketing teams in London, New York, and Paris, as well as with experts across Asia-Pacific. Together, you will craft compelling stories that drive visibility around our auctions and events and strengthen our brand presence across global and regional audiences.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Writing & Content Creation
Write and edit bilingual press releases and media materials that position Bonhams clearly and confidently in the market
Help develop briefing notes, talking points, and background materials for interviews
Media Relations & Pitching
Plan and deliver press campaigns by conceptualising, researching, and pitching stories to regional and international media outlets to secure quality coverage
Manage specialist interviews end to end, including coordination, logistics, and follow-up
Act as the day-to-day media contact, responding promptly to enquiries and providing timely information and images
Plan and organise media events such as photo calls and press viewings
Monitor media trends and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts
Maintain an up-to-date media database
Team Support
Prepare regular media reports and insights
Provide administrative support to keep the team running smoothly
Key Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related disciplines
4+ years of experience in PR and communications, ideally within art, culture, luxury, or agency environments
Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English; knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
Skilled in Microsoft Office and AI tools; experience with basic design or presentation tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint) is a plus
Immediate availability preferred
