About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our client's technology team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role requires deep expertise in database administration across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Cloud databases. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems while also contributing to ongoing transformation and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

•
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level databases across cloud and on-premise environments.

•
Administer, monitor, and tune databases for optimal performance, availability, and scalability.

•
Handle backup, recovery, data migration, and disaster recovery strategies.

•
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application database needs and integration.

•
Implement and manage data replication and ETL processes, with experience in tools such as IBM CDC.

•
Ensure database compliance with industry best practices, governance, and security standards.

•
Proactively identify opportunities to improve database performance, automation, and cloud integration.

Key Requirements:

•
7+ years of hands-on database administration experience in a large-scale or enterprise-level environment.

•
Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (2012/2016), Oracle, and Cloud-based databases.

•
Experience with ETL processes and IBM Change Data Capture (CDC) is highly desirable.

•
Solid understanding of database architecture, replication, partitioning, and clustering.

•
Knowledge of cloud database technologies (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud) is a strong advantage.

•
Proven experience in troubleshooting complex performance and data integrity issues.

•
Familiarity with DevOps practices, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and automation tools is a plus.

•
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications:

•
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

•
Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional

•
Any relevant Cloud DB certifications (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)
