Senior Client Portfolio Manager

Vise is hiring a Senior Client Portfolio Manager to serve as the bridge between our investment team and advisor clients. You’ll work closely with financial advisors to understand their clients’ goals, surface their investment needs, and help deliver solutions that are thoughtful, customized, and scalable.

You’ll represent the investment team in client conversations—bringing clarity to complex strategies—and ensure that advisor insights inform our investment roadmap. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role on a small, collaborative team. You’ll report directly to our Co-CIO and play a key role in shaping how we grow and scale. This role is onsite in NYC, in our SoHo office.

What you bring on day one:

• Experience

• 5+ years in wealth or investment management, ideally focused on asset allocation, portfolio construction, attribution, or security selection

• Strong grasp of modern portfolio techniques: direct indexing, tax-loss harvesting, factor investing, optimization, and model portfolios

• Proven success working with financial advisors; deep understanding of their models, priorities, and pain points

• Skilled at translating complex strategies into clear, actionable client narratives

• Excellent communicator—written, verbal, one-on-one, and in group settings

• Experience developing and delivering custom investment proposals

• Familiar with advisor tech stacks: CRM, portfolio management tools, and Bloomberg

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data-driven investment analysis

• Preferred: Experience with cross-functional teams (engineering/product)

• Preferred: Authored white papers or investment commentary

• Preferred: Led investment research or portfolio solutions from concept to launch

• Education

• Undergraduate degree is required

• CFA Institute Charterholder is preferred

What you will own:

• Act as a client-facing investment expert—explaining our philosophy, portfolio construction, and platform capabilities

• Partner with advisors to deeply understand their clients’ objectives, constraints, and preferences

• Analyze portfolios for risk, attribution, tax efficiency, and performance alignment

• Build and deliver custom portfolio proposals using Vise’s platform

• Create impactful investment content—proposals, presentations, commentary, and thought leadership

• Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn advisor feedback into scalable solutions

• Share trends and insights from the field with the CIO and broader team to guide investment strategy, roadmap and communications

Through the internal and market data Vise has collected, we expect the salary range for this position to be $180,000 - $200,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package. Your actual compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Vise offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits.
